Part of the “Nostalgia in Bloom” triptych by me, the founder of the Republic of Venus (Romy), this emotive canvas captures the ephemeral beauty of girlhood, wildflowers, and light - as if remembered through my dreams.

Inspired by South African summer fields and my childhood farm, Les Chênes, in Franschhoek, this piece reflects warmth, bloom, and the tender passage of time. With its painterly blur and cinematic palette, it captures the softness of being held by nature .. by flowers, by light, by the transient beauty of the seasons and the change of the wind. Displayed alone or as part of a triptych, it offers a lyrical meditation on presence, memory, and quiet transformation
